Our client is a high profile Government department Library in the Sydney CBD, focusing in economic policy, business and finance. They pursue excellence in
the work they perform and the outcomes they achieve.
They are seeking an experienced Library Technician to join their team to cover a six week period of leave. This position is due to start at the end of May,
and is part time.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Accessioning and management of serials – print and electronic

ILL and document delivery
-
Customer service
-
Collection maintenance
To be successful in this role you are confident in the listed responsibilities and can demonstrate:
- Experience as a Library Technician in a research or academic environment

Task focus and attention to detail
-
The ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
-
Confidence with IT and the ability to learn quickly – experience with First would be highly regarded
-
Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels of the organisation
You are client focused, have the ability to multi-task and can manage competing deadlines.
Please note the successful candidate will need to complete a satisfactory police clearance and a 100 point identification check before commencing.
