A major Sydney Council is seeking a Visionary - a dynamic leader who will bring a 21^st century strategic and entrepreneurial approach to the various cultural venues and services across the city.

These venues and services seek to encourage, stimulate and inspire the community to engage with the cultural ethos of Sydney.

Are you the highly experienced and energetic leader who can take up this challenge?

Will you place the community at the heart of development and delivery of services, engage with the community and respond to their needs - embedding excellence, creativity and innovation within collaborative work practices.

This role is responsible for developing innovative services though the provision of local art and cultural spaces, libraries, events and outreach programs that are relevant and reflect the diversity of the City’s communities.

You will develop and implement relevant and responsive strategies to optimise the value of these community assets for its communities and to ensure its services and functions are among the best in the world.

With your high level mentoring and leadership skills you will inspire your teams to maximise their talents and capabilities ensuring best practice delivery to all stakeholders through the provision of outstanding customer service.

To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate:

• The successful leadership of decentralised services in a cultural or library environment
• Comprehensive experience in the management of significant organisational change
• A proven capacity to generate new ideas, drawing on a variety of informational resources and the ability to translate these ideas into workplace improvements, and
• Comprehensive understanding of contemporary issues, trends and strategies in the provision of creative library and cultural services to deliver high quality outcomes for users.
