Team Leader – Liaison, Acquisition and Description

Are you dynamic, innovative and enjoy change? Are you passionate about improving processes? Do you have experience in collection development, acquisition and description areas? Do you have a professional qualification in information science or archives?

This is a pool recruitment process. This pool will run for a period of 18 months from the initial appointment. This process may be used to fill ongoing fixed term contracts, secondments, acting/relieving and permanent opportunities.

This position is being offered as a full-time or part time, fixed-term contract or secondment, for a period of 12 months, with a possibility of extension and/or permanency.

Key areas of accountability for this position include

  • Lead and manage a library collection liaison, acquisition and description team
  • Liaise with other teams and external organisations regarding collections – including their development, digitisation, rationalisation, description, preservation and access
  • Seek continuous improvement in procuring, processing and providing access to collections
  • Provide support to the Manager to achieve strategic outcomes relevant to the Team

Flexible workplace arrangements available

salarySpecified Calling Level 2, $81,348 - $89,905 pa Please note: commencing 12 April 2013 the new salary range will be $84,805 - $93,726 pa
