The purpose of this position is to deliver high quality, effective and consistent client service to UNSW Library’s users through supervision of a team
within the Client Services Unit. The position is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic leadership team, to supervise staff, to contribute to
the continued development of a service focused team working in an exciting new client service environment, to build relationships with staff and
students, and to further develop innovative and responsive customer services.
UNSW Library is one of Australia’s major research libraries, with extensive scholarly information resources. It serves a large population of academic
staff and students on two campuses and affiliated research institutes.
As a supervisor in the Information Services Department you will be responsible for leading a team within the Client Services Unit in the provision of
both online and front-of-house Help Zone services, to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, and provide customer support resources in support
of the Library’s strategic initiatives and the University’s strategic intent.
You will have relevant qualifications and proven experience in a service focused role. You will be team-focused, skilled in managing competing
priorities and have proven excellent communication and relationship management skills. Understanding and appreciation of the higher education sector
will be well regarded.
This is full-time (35 hours per week), continuing position.
