Position Description:
Ex Libris is seeking an Implementation Consultant to be located in the Australian Office in Adelaide,
South Australia.
The PS Consultant will join the APAC Resource Management team responsible for implementing
company’s unified resource management system, primarily within Australia and New Zealand.
Job Responsibilities:
- perform Ex Libris product configuration, based on customer’s requirements
- analyse and troubleshoot customer issues and requests, provide first line support to customers
- during implementation cycle
- interpret and understand customer requirements and workflows and translate into Ex Libris solutions
- provide product training to customers, via Web-based or on-site training
- review and contribute to training materials, implementation tools and documents used internally
- and by customers
- coordinate extensively with other Ex Libris teams including Cloud Services, Installation, Support,
- sales and Product Management
- use defined procedures and systems to perform and document implementation tasks
- contribute to the development and improvement of standard procedures as needed
- perform system and data analysis as part of product implementations
Required experience/skills:
- B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent qualification
- M.S. degree in library/information science or other related field - not required but preferred
- Strong technical skills including experience with UNIX, Oracle, HTML, CSS, XML, networking and
- authentication protocols - not required but preferred
- Background in library workflows/standards strongly preferred
- Previous experience working with Ex Libris products would be advantageous
- Customer service experience in a library or other business/technical setting is desirable
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage several complex tasks concurrently and meet deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills; must be a team player
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including training ability
- Ability to learn new information quickly and keep up with rapidly changing products and processes
- 2 x years relevant experience required,
