| description | Evaluate, design, build and implement software tools and workflows to support the preservation of the Library’s digital collections
Analyse the Library’s digital collections, preservation aims and available access tools for the purposes of identifying and planning preservation actions
Undertake research into file formats and their software and hardware dependencies
This position supports the development of procedures and software for maintaining access to digital collections, across technological and organisational changes. A current focus is articulating requirements and prototyping tools and system components for library staff to collect born-digital publications and archives, and to ensure their long-term sustainability.
