Council comprises an area of 10,440 km2, employs about 500 staff, operates 5 administration centers, 10 works depots and serves approximately
50,000 residents and ratepayers living in 44 towns, villages and city environs.
The purpose of the position is to:

Provision of efficient and effective reference and reader services to library users as part of the Clarence Regional Library network
- To help promote the use and image of the library services.
To be successful in the position you will need:
-
Higher School Certificate; or equivalent relevant industry experience
-
Previous experience in a customer service role and an understanding and commitment to customer service principles
-
Ability to prioritise daily tasks
-
Well developed communication skills, including interpersonal skills that enable cooperative dealings with people from different backgrounds and age
groups
-
Sound computer literacy in email and internet programs, including the ability to undertake web based searches
-
Demonstrated ability to deal with conflict
-
A demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety requirements
-
Consultative manner and committed to a team-based approach, with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

· Ability to adapt and be flexible in an environment of continuous change
