Our client - one of the states’ most pre-eminent cultural institutions - has vacancies for two qualified library technicians to work on a major e-records
project. The contract period is for four months,
We are seeking, bright, pro-active and enthusiastic candidates, with high level interpersonal and communication skills.
The duties will include:

Copy cataloguing

Editing and updating of current records

Use if MARC records

Shelving
Selection criteria:

Well developed interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills
-
Demonstrated organisational abilities in setting priorities, scheduling and coordinating tasks and meeting deadlines

Demonstrated numeracy, literacy, accuracy and attention to detail
-
Adaptability, ability to support change and problem solving ability
-
Ability to use other technology for a range of processing tasks, communication and record keeping

Ability to use automated systems and databases for searching, importing, adding, updating and editing records
-
Ability to file retrieve shelve and physically organise library materials in a high volume work environment
These roles are only open to qualified Library Technicians.
