The University Library is part of Melbourne Students and learning and is organised into several programs; Collections, Information Management, Scholarly
Information and eScholarship Research employing a total of more than 250 staff.
Collections seeks a Manager, Grainger Museum, to be responsible for the effective management of the Grainger Museum and the associated Grainger
collections. This role is responsible for managing future projects including: the need to catalogue the Grainger collection; ensuring that the Museum is
well integrated into the academic life of the University; and ensuring that the public profile of the Museum is maintained and strengthened.
You must have experience and knowledge managing and developing a museum or other similar cultural collection together with the capacity to implement best
practice. The ability to manage financial and physical resources as well as the lead and develop a team of specialist staff is required.
Employment Type:
Full-time (continuing) position. (Note that there is some capacity to negotiate a part-time appointment).
