Liaison Librarian

The Liaison Librarian reports to the Senior Liaison Librarian and provides high quality library, study skills support and information services and resources to the institute’s students and staff, in accordance with institute policy and service standards.

Key Duties

  • Liaise with academic Schools as assigned to develop a deep understanding of their discipline areas and maintain effective two way communication regarding Library and Learning services.
  • Develop, deliver and evaluate information literacy and study skills programs.
  • Evaluate and develop Library and Learning Services’ information resources.
  • Undertake learning support consultations.
  • Participate in various Library and Learning Services, Directorate and institute forums and committees as required and contributing to planning processes.
  • Participate in the management and implementation of projects as required.
  • Participate in the delivery of the Library and Learning Services’ annual program and other promotional and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree in Library and Information Studies which allows eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association
  • at least 4 years’ subsequent relevant experience in an academic library or agreed equivalent
