The State Library of Western Australia seeks to treasure the stories of Western Australia, champion literacy and learning, cultivate creative ideas and lead the development of the Western Australian public library network

Conditions

This position is offered as a full-time, fixed-term vacancy until 30 June 2014. There will also be possibility of an extension and/or permanency.

A Working With Children Clearance will be required prior to commencement of employment, as per the Department of Culture and the Arts Police Record Screening Policy.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants for this position may be considered for “similar’ vacancies within the Culture and Arts Portfolio and/or the wider public sector which arise within a reasonable period of time. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Future vacancies may be considered - full-time, part-time, fixed term.

Location

This position is located in central Perth within the Cultural Centre hub close to the bustling café, tourist and shopping districts.

Job Description

In this role you will coordinate the development and delivery of projects and services to support the Better Beginnings family literacy program for Indigenous families throughout Western Australia.
