Wynnum Library on Brisbane's southside has an exciting opportunity for a Flexible Permanent Part Time (base 20 hours per week) Librarian to deliver outstanding customer service and provide diverse library services to our community.

Brisbane City Council's public libraries are hubs of our community. They exist to strengthen local communities through services and activities, centred around information, learning, recreation and culture. In partnership with the community, our library staff deliver a range of learning programs which foster a love of reading, culture and ideas. We contribute to Council's 2026 Vision for a Learning and Informed Community.

In your capacity as Librarian, you will play a vital role in ensuring high standards of library services are initiated and delivered. Your experience in customer focused services will create a positive experience for our library customers. You will apply your enthusiasm and energy to delivering a range of proactive services, including reading, learning and outreach activities. Importantly, providing support to your team leader to achieve key Library Services objectives will be crucial.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Experience and a commitment to delivering a strong customer focus in a dynamic public library
• Success in delivering on activities and services such as promotion, outreach and children's services
• Extensive readers advisory skills and experience in growing and retaining library customers
• Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
• Success in working effectively in a high performing team environment while supporting your team leader
