Australian International Academy (AIA), an IB world School, has just completed building an exciting new school in the North west of Sydney ( Kellyville Campus) . The new library will play a strategic and transformational role enhancing student learning.

AIA is searching for a full time dynamic and engaging teacher librarian who has completed or about to complete their Teacher Librarianship. The successful applicant will be competent in all facets of library management.

Responsibilities

  • motivate young people to engage with reading
  • To work with teaching staff ensuring library programmes and collections support student learning.
  • To manage, promote, and deliver library programmes that support learning and literacy.

Selection Criteria

  • Solid understanding of the Curriculum
  • Competency in all aspects of using the Oliver Library system.
  • Liaising with teaching staff to develop effective library products and services.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate best practice within a library that delivers quality learning outcomes to students.

- Exposure to an IB environment advantageous
