Salary guidelines for library and information services workers

ALIA has strongly supported the Crown Employees (Public Sector - Salaries 2008) Award in New South Wales as the proper and most accurate benchmark for LIS workers everywhere.

This award was under review for much of 2011 and was subsequently varied to give a single 2.5% increase from 1 July 2011. Please refer to the Directive D2011_022 for more information: http://www.dpc.nsw.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0015/131181/D2011_22-Crown_Employees_Public_Sector_Salaries_2008_Award_POL_v01.pdf

The award was reviewed again on the 6th July 2012 with the recommendation that the Crown Employees (Public Sector - Salaries 2008) Award be varied to provide increases to salaries and salary based allowances of 2.5 % per annum with effect from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2012.
