Parliamentary Library Officers

The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for Parliamentary Library Officers within the Library Collections & Databases Branch.
 
As a Library Officer you will be exposed to all areas of the Parliamentary Library and will have the opportunity to provide a range of tasks associated with the provision of services to Library clients, including cataloguing, digitisation, editing and quality assurance of the metadata in the Library’s databases and assisting in the maintenance of Library systems.
 
We are looking for applicants with a strong client focus, attention to detail, excellent communication and organisational skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a team. We require flexible, proactive individuals with a willingness to learn new skills.
 
Both ongoing and non-ongoing PSL4 positions will be filled via this recruitment. 
 
Please Note: This recruitment process will be used to fill current Library vacancies. A merit pool will be established and candidates successfully placed on the merit pool may be offered future roles within 12 months of the Gazettal date.
