ALIA Education and Workforce Summit 2008The ALIA Education and Workforce Summit 2008 brought together library employers, educators, researchers and ALIA members. It is informed by critical issues in both library and information education, and in the library workforce. The Summit was an invitation only event.Major issues were considered and the first report will be available on this page shortly. The ALIA Education and Professional Development Standing Committee organised the Summit and identified important issues for consideration at the Summit. Members of the Standing Committee developed papers addressing a number of the issues and are now accessible by following the links under the heading Issues papers on this page. All submissions received formed part of the input to the Summit and, unless otherwise requested, will be mounted on the Summit website.
