course descriptionThis course prepres you for work in a variety of creative information design and management roles. You will develop an understanding of the interrrelationships between people, information and communication technologies, as well as developing practical skills in areas such as web design and architecture, writing information and media content for diverse audiences and media research. The degree also provides you with an opportuity to develop a secondary specialisation to complement your core studies and to undertake an optional professional placement.

Available over three years full-time. Current school leavers admitted on basis of UAI only. Non-current school leavers admitted on basis of academic merit (exceptions, see details at www.uts.edu.au/study/admission). The course can also be combined with International Studies or with Law. Successful applicants who have compelted the TAFE Library Practice Associate Diploma or Diploma of Library/Information Services or equivalent within seven years prior to enrolment will receive exemptions equivalent to one year of full time study.

ALIA accreditationThis course replaces the ALIA – accredited Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Information Management). This course is accredited until December 2013.
Course Advisory CommitteeThe Course Advisory Committee is made up of local industry representatives who participate in reviewing and evaluating the course material and provides input into current trends in the industry.
