| course description | Available over one academic year full-time or equivalent period part-time. Available externally. A degree or equivalent approved by the University in a field other than Information and Library Studies is required for entry. All students need regular access to computing facilities and the internet. It is possible to upgrade the graduate diploma to the Master of Information Management degree with a further semester full-time or equivalent part-time, of study. |

However, applications from intending on campus international students can only be to commence study at the beginning of the academic year. | ALIA accreditation | The Graduate Diploma in Information and Library Studies offered by Curtin University of Technology is accredited by ALIA for a period of seven years, from 1 April 2009 to 1 April 2016, subject to a satisfactory annual course return being provided by Curtin University of Technology, and the right of ALIA to reassess the course on the occurrence of what, in ALIA's view, are exceptional circumstances, and in any event, once during that seven year period, and not later than April 2016. |
| Course Advisory Committee | The Course Advisory Committee is made up of local industry representatives who participate in reviewing and evaluating the course material and provides input into current trends in the industry.
The Course Advisory Committee meets at least once a year.
