| course description | Available over three years full-time or equivalent period part-time. Available externally. Applications from library technicians are evaluated on academic excellence and experience, and these students are currently given the equivalent of one year's advanced standing. The degree is HECS-based. This degree offers educational preparation for the professions of librarianship. All students need regular access to computing facilities and the internet. |

| ALIA accreditation | The Bachelor of Arts (Librarianship and Corporate Information Management) offered by Curtin University of Technology is accredited by ALIA for a period of seven years, from 1 April 2009 to 1 April 2016, subject to a satisfactory annual course return being provided by Curtin University of Technology, and the right of ALIA to reassess the course on the occurrence of what, in ALIA's view, are exceptional circumstances, and in any event, once during that seven year period, and not later than April 2016. |
