course descriptionThe Master of Education (Teacher Librarianship) is an eight subject coursework award designed for teachers who wish to become teacher librarians. The course is offered by distance education and can be undertaken over two, three or four years of part-time study. Internet access is required. A four-year teaching qualification (eg. Bachelor of Education or first degree and Diploma of Education) or equivalent is required. Applicants with a three year teaching qualification and a minimum of one year of teaching experience will be considered for entry. There are three intakes each year in February, July and November.
closing date for applicationsApplications are received by the university throughout the year. This course has three intakes a year, in Session 1 (March – June), Session 2 (July-October) and Session 3 (November-February). The closing date for each session is normally a month before the session commences.

ALIA accreditationThis course offered by Charles Sturt University is recognised by ALIA for a period of seven years, from 1 January 2008, subject to a satisfactory annual return being provided by Charles Sturt University and the right of ALIA to reassess the course on the occurrence of what, in ALIA's view, are exceptional circumstances, and in any event, once during that seven-year period, and not later than December 2015.
Course Advisory CommitteeThe Course Advisory Committee is made up of local industry representatives who participate in reviewing and evaluating the course material and provides input into current trends in the industry.

The Course Advisory Committee meets three times per year.
