YBP/Lindsay & Croft Research Award for Collection ServicesThe ALIA YBP/Lindsay & Croft Research Award for Collection Services is a biennial award up to $4000 offered in the ALIA Biennial Conference year that aims to increase the recipient's professional knowledge and experience; to provide the recipient with the opportunity to investigate and research a particular aspect of the development of collection services; and to encourage practice-related research or projects that will inform and advance practice in collection services and management. The successful recipient will be required to prepare a comprehensive report for publication in the Australian Library Journal and pursue other publishing and presentation opportunities, present the report to the ALIA research committee within twelve months of the date of completion of the award and make a presentation at the next ALIA biennial conference. In awarding the YBP/Lindsay & Croft Research Award, ALIA reserves the right to make broad adjustments to the proposed project to ensure optimal relevance for the association and the wider profession. Nominations will be considered by the research award panel for recommendation to the Board of Directors. Applicants are required to be current financial members of ALIA. This award will not be awarded in 2011. More information about the 2011 Awards Review is available at http://www.alia.org.au/awards. This award will be offered in 2012. For 2011 only, applications will be open in December 2011 following the launch of the revised ALIA Awards programme. |
