ALIA NT Recognition Award encourages recognition of an individual or team working in any sector of the
library and information profession in the Northern Territory.
The F A Sharr Medal is awarded to a Western Australian librarian or library technician in their first year of employment who exhibits the most potential to make a significant contribution to the library profession in WA.
To acknowledge excellence/innovation in performance by an information professional. This Award is an opportunity for those working in the Australian health and biomedical library sector to showcase innovative projects which, through the use of health informatics or web technologies contribute to or support improved health outcomes.
Recognised an outstanding contribution by a member of ALIA Information Online Group Group in an information management role or special library environment.
This award, for recent graduates in library and information sciences in Queensland, aims to promote the role and image of library technicians in the library and information industry and/or in the wider community and to encourage library technicians to join and support their professional association, ALIA.
The WA Special Librarian of the Year Award is presented anually during a Library and Information Week function. It is judged by members of the committee, an industry representative and the winner of the previous year\'s award.
