• Libraries Australia has released an update on RDA changes to their cataloguing and search databases. Libraries can test how the new RDA records will work with their own system using examples of RDA records in Libraries Australia; AN 46333266 and AN 46406136. RDA will be implemented in March 2013.

• After 25 years and 100 issues, Auslib Press is ceasing the publication of its journal Australasian Public Libraries and Information Services (APLIS). The last issue will be December 2012. ALIA members can access full text copies of APLIS via our ProQuest database of LIS journals.

• The November issue of inCite will focus on the politics of the industry. We want to hear stories from public libraries about their political environment. • The UK Society of Chief Librarians has released a survey which reports Internet users trust library staff more than most other providers of online support and information, and public library staff are second only to doctors in terms of the trust placed in them by seekers of information
