It's neck and neck in the opinion polls

If you're trying to decide who to vote for in the federal election, check out the election promises from the various parties at http://www.alia.org.au/election2010/. You'll also find our campaign kit, with our top 10 priority issues, questions for candidates and template letters for you to send to your MP and opposition candidates. But hurry, only a week or so to go until 21 August.

National Advisory Congress

Help set ALIA's direction, take part in the National Advisory Congress. Meetings will be held in all states and territories during September. Be there in person or via teleconference - find out more at http://www.alia.org.au/governance/nac/.

Library Stars 2010

Nearly 60 libraries are in with a chance of being an ALIA Library Star 2010. The judging panel has until 27 August to name the best library initiatives of the last 12 months, to be announced at ALIA Access 2010 on 3 September. But there will be no real winners or losers. We will take all the case studies and turn them into a lively online resource for library advocates to use locally and with State and Federal Government representatives. Find out more at http://www.alia.org.au/governance/committees/public.libraries/librarystars2010/.
