- National RFID Data Profile endorsed by ALIA
The ALIA Board has endorsed the National RFID Data Profile. The aim of the National Profile is to provide a profile for use by all Australian libraries based on ISO 28560 Parts One & Two to enhance interoperability beyond that offered currently by barcodes.

COMPETITION!!
To commemorate ANZAC day, ALIA has two non-fiction books from Big Sky Publishing to give away to lucky members. The first is Game to the Last, about the 11th Australian Infantry Battalion at Gallipoli. The second is Lethality in Combat, which draws on seven conflicts to consider the implications of sending soldiers to war. To receive one of these books, please name two of the keynote speakers that are joining us at Discovery: ALIA Biennial 2012.
