- 2012 Update to National Standards and Guidelines for Public Libraries: Request for Comments
Ensure Standards and Guidelines for Australian Public is kept as up-to-date as possible: if you have comments on the first edition, on the use of the average of the three best-performing states/territories as the basis for calculating each measure, or on your experience in applying the standards and guidelines, now is the time to make them known. - Australian rural libraries a model of engagement: Victoria University's School of Social Sciences and Psychology PhD researcher Roziya Abu is investigating how rural libraries in Australia engage with their communities to identify improvements for rural public libraries in Malaysia. The study, titled The role of the rural public library in community development and empowerment will help focus efforts on issues of service relevance. Preliminary findings were recently published in the International Journal of the Book.
