Interlibrary lending pricing review announced: The ALIA Interlibrary Lending Advisory Committee has planned to review the pricing within the Australian Interlibrary Resource Sharing (ILRS) Code in 2011. It's never too late ... to learn to read' short story competition: The National Year of Reading 2012, in partnership with ALIA and Writing Australia, supported by the NT Writers Centre, Queensland Writers Centre and Writing WA, has been given a grant by the Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR), through Adult Learners' Week National Grand Funding, to run a writing competition as part of Adult Learners' Week 2011. www.love2read.org.au
Call for papers for the QPL Conference is now open. Logan City Council Libraries will be hosting the next QPLA conference to be held from the 26 - 28 September 2011. The conference theme is *"What would Andrew Carnegie think now?"* Papers are sought for individual sessions comprising 20 minute presentations for the stream *"Librarians on the front line"*. www.qpla.asn.au/events-a-conferences/current-events
