Summary minutes of the very last General Council meeting
The very last [ever!] General Council meeting was held at ALIA National Office in October. Summary minutes of the meeting have been published on ALIAnet. More news resulting from the decisions made at this landmark meeting will appear in future issues of aliaNEWS. http://archive.alia.org.au/gc/online/minutes/1999.10.html.

ALIAnet's Vital Link Online
A long time coming, and still not 100% complete just yet. Many members will be aware of the printed publication, Vital Link, [our listing of all office-bearers of the Associoation] and the problems encountered in keeping it current. As from today, we welcome users to use Vital Link Online, taken directly from our membership database.

We will progressively change all of our committee listing pages on ALIAnet to point directly to the database front-end, and thus more-quickly match our records with that of each division's. As usual, please give us plenty of feedback on this evolving service. An article will appear in a future inCite to describe how it all works and who is responsible for the entries found. http://www.alia.org.au/vital.link.html.
